Speaker

Krum Z Sotirov

Krum SotirovBorn in Bulgaria, now living in US I have been growing orchids for the past 16 years. First as a hobby, later as a profession and now as a hobby again. Currently, I live in Watertown NY USA.

In 1997 I spent over a year working at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew London UK in the Orchid Unit under the supervision of Sandra Bell and Dusha Hayes. There I have gained vast knowledge for problem solving in the orchid green house to include knowledge for orchid pest and diseases, acclimatization of new orchid species and orchid classification and systematization.

I have been speaking before orchid societies and Garden Clubs in US, UK, Canada and Bulgaria - to name a few: Royal Botanic Gardens Kew's Mutual society, Houston (TX), Montreal Canada, Marin (CA), Syracuse NY, Menlo Park Garden Club and many others

My non-profit web site has been on the web since 1996

I have no set fee to speak before your society, however I wish my travel expenses covered and opportunity to sell plants, orchid baskets and/or books on orchids. As many other speakers do I prefer to stay at member's home or budget hotel.

Donations in form of articles and pictures to publish on my site are always welcome. I would accept cash donations too.

Some of the topics of my lectures are listed bellow.
